CALL FOR PAPERS [in PDF]
Journal of Advances in Information Technology (JAIT, ISSN 1798-2340)
Special Issue on Security Issues and Solutions for Information, Computer and Networks
The demand for secured communication is increasing rapidly. Information security is about protecting the
information against unauthorized disclosure, transfer or modification accidentally or intentionally when it is
transmitted through the Internet. The economic liability of cyber crimes is also expected to increase significantly.
Many of the cyber crimes are undetected. At present, the various types of cryptographic algorithms provide the
security for information transmission in an insecure medium. These algorithms are needed to protect the data
integrity and authenticity from various attacks. While security has always been a vexatious issue, networks are
now exposed to myriad risks including hacking, information interception and tampering. The attacks can also
take place on various fronts – information, database, operating system, intranets, VPN (Virtual Private Networks)
and web sites.
This is one of the key issues in today’s Information Technology era and good security solutions are required at
all levels – personal, corporate, country and global levels. So this special issue is organized to bring together
leading academicians, industry experts and researchers in the area of security using cryptography algorithms
and to facilitate sharing of their information on various aspects of IT in conjunction with security problems arising
in networks, information and computer engaged in information storing, transmitting and processing.
With this focus, technical papers are invited on the following topics, but not limited to
- Public key Cryptography
- Applied Cryptography
- Hash functions
- Virtual Private Networking
- Mobile Security
- Database Security
- Biometrics
- Stenography and Watermarking
- Authentication Protocols
- Internet Security
- Signature Schemes
- Information Security
- Intrusion Detection System
- Operating System Security
